Wairarapa Grains Collective mills flour from durum wheat they grow, a hardy, nutritious grain
that’s higher in protein, minerals, and vitamins than regular wheat. Valued for millennia for its strength and flexibility—its name comes from the Latin word for ‘hard’—durum is beloved by bakers and pasta makers for its distinct flavor and handsome golden hue.
Our finely milled durum flour is also excellent for breads and pizzas with that perfect, crispy crust.

The durum is planted using a no-till, soils-first approach which reduces erosion and minimises carbon emissions while preserving the soil’s natural microbiomes. 

Please note this product is not spray free or organic but it is unbleached.

Golden Crispy Delicious

We make flat breads and baguettes from this local flour and are very pleased with the ease of working and quality of both.
We would like to know exactly what the product is sprayed with as it is important to us to be aware of what we are ingesting as we do try to eat as chem free as possible.
Having said that we are happy and grateful to WGC for their enterprise and hard work in bringing their product to market.
