A great way to use up leftovers or an abundance of produce in your fridge! You can use any toppings, but we like to make breakfast pizzas!
BASES
3/4 cup warm water
1 1/5 tsp active yeast
1 tsp sugar
2 cups of flour
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp olive oil
TOPPINGS
- Go wild use anything you have!
- We used scrambled egg, sausages, red onion & herbs
METHOD
- Put warm water, year and sugar in a bowl and whisk until bubbles form (about 30 seconds). Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the flour & salt, then the olive oil. Mix for about 5 minutes (we use our hands).
- Put the dough on a floured surface & knead until smooth. Add more flour if too sticky. You will end up with a smooth dough ball that doesn't stick to the table.
- Put in a bowl, lightly drizzle with olive oil, cover with a tea towel and let it rise for about an hour - until it has doubled in size.
- Once proofed, then seperate into 2-3 balls (the amount of pizza's you want to make) and let it rest for a further 2 hours.
- Once ready, roll out the bases and add your toppings.
- Cook in the oven (or BBQ until he base is cooked).
